So Many Men/So Many Unmentionable Moments
So where to begin and how to make this as short as possible?
I got Thursday off and as it turned out I had an interview that morning with Chiro Medical Group. They were looking for an experienced biller and we had only spoken 2 days before on the phone. Perfect timing.
I had the interview at 11:00 and Jarrod was coming in around noon. Josh agreed to pick him up at the airport and I was hoping to go with him. As it turned out, the interview lasted a mere 20 minutes and I was able to catch Josh as he was leaving.
We picked up Jarrod after several times around the airport runway and stopped at Rainbow so Josh could get a few things. When we got back to the apartment. Josh, Jarrod and I went to Pasta Palmadoro in Castro for a quick bite to eat. Jarrod and I napped a bit and Lonnie called when he got into town from Chicago.
We decided the Powerhouse was a good place to go. It was about normal for a Thursday night crowd, although busy, still not quite the out of town Folsom crowd which would be there the following night and weekend.
We all had some drinks and I was able to introduce Jarrod and Lonnie to some of my friends. I think this was the only night I actually saw most of them in one place. The 3 of us came back to my place and crashed on my full size futon. I dont think any of us even noticed how crowded it was. We all just died.
Friday we went to Mr S and Stompers to find Jarrod some boots which we werent able to find all weekend. Jason bought a new leather vest for Folsom and I have to admit it looks great on him. Later in the evening we went to Golden Gate Park and walked around. Most places there were closed but it was nice to just walk around, take photos, and spend some time with both Lonnie and Jarrod.
That night we ended up at the Powerhouse again and met up with my friend Aaron and his friend from CT. Rick had joined us as well. It was packed! Wall to wall men in leather, rubber, and uniforms. Hot as they were, it was too hot in there for us, so we left over to the Eagle along with a few other friends I met up with.
The Eagle was fun. We all got drunk again, and somehow ended up doing a lot of "first times" for me. We all ended up back at my place again, and the 3 of us crashed on my futon together and Rick crashed on the living room floor upstairs.
Saturday was the Love Fest. Jarrod and Lonnie decided to pass, and Rick and I went down together and met up with Corey. After watching the parade, and towards the end, I noticed a bunny outfit. My first thought was "look a furry" but then my head took over and I remembered Josh's voice in my head saying "you should see my outfit for love fest". Sure enough it was Josh decked out from head to toe in his bunny suit. It was cute.
While Lonnie, Jarrod, and Jason shopped, Rick, Corey, and I came back to my place for a nap. More unmentionable firsts happened that afternoon and soon after we were joined by Lonnie and Jarrod.
We decided to stay in that night and rest up for Folsom on Sunday. Year after year, we drink the night before and somehow stumble to the fair with hang overs and hurting. We were determined to be of sound mind for the fair and enjoy the day with our bodies and minds in the best of health. This didnt happen.
We ended up drinking at home, watched Harry Potter and The Prisoner of Azkaban along with The Incredibles. We drank a lot and although we werent as bad as we could have been, we were still a bit tired for the fair.
Jarrod, Rick, and I left to get lunch at Orphan Andys and soon after my friend Ian joined us to head over to Lonnies hotel. With all of that, we ended up at the fair around 1pm.

- we walked around, gawked, Rick got spanked by Jarrod, I got an official Folsom Street Fair jock strap by putting it on there in front of everyone, we ran into friends, gawked some more, ran into more friends, and then around 4:30 headed over to the Eagle.
The Eagle was packed and a lot of fun. The drinks were being made extra strong and for some reason I ended up getting the big cups full of vodka while the others got the small ones. I think they like me there which is great because I love my bartenders at the Eagle.
After drinking heavily, and somehow missing the evening, we realized it was suddenly dark outside. We headed over to the Lone Star and during that day more unmentionable firsts happened. Finally Lonnie and Jarrod went to spend the night at Lonnies hotel and Rick and I came home. Rick went back to San Jose, and I slept like a baby.
Monday was Lonnies last day. We decided on brunch and then we were heading to Coit Tower. Erik (Aarons friend from CT) joined us as well. Im not certain but I think most people expect Coit Tower to be more amazing than what it really is. Basically its a great view of the city from 360 degrees and if you want great pictures and a nice view then you should go. Its $3.75 to go up in the tower, and look out however that is all there is to do up there. We spent maybe 10 minutes max and then left.
With about an hour before Lonnie and Rich had to go to catch their flight, we stopped at Mr S to kill some time. Rich (Lonnies roommate in Chicago) bought a paddle and soon we were saying goodbye at Muni. It was sad saying goodbye and I knew Id be doing it again on Tuesday morning when Jarrod left.
Evening came, Jarrod and I relaxed, went to Samovar for tea, and basically prepared for his shuttle to the airport in the morning.
Jarrod left this morning and I was back to work. I received a phone call Monday morning informing me that I had gotten the job, so I was off to put in my 2 week notice. My last day with Headsets.com will be on October 6th and I start my new job with Chiro Medical Group on the 8th. The new job sounds like it has potential to lead to more places. It seems like its exactly where my skill are and I will be back in a health care environment again. Im excited to start.
A great weekend was had by all and I cant wait to do it again. So much for short and simple.
