The Day After
Friday was a good day. I woke up early, Josh slept in a bit. His grandmother and aunt had gone shopping on Black Friday so I had a chance to be in my own mind for a few hours.
So Josh woke up (more like I woke him up) around 11am. He jumped in the shower, while I fiddled online. His grandmother and aunt had returned both exhausted from their shopping experience.
I showered while he contacted his 2 cousins for an excursion into Santa Cruz and we were on our way around noon.
So Ive been having a few experiences where I am taking back my first impressions of people. His cousin Terryne was actually pretty cool and Im guessing her and Josh are a lot alike and perhaps it was just in dealing with the rest of her guests the day before, she overlooked her manners.
We went into town and went shopping down Pacific Avenue. There were people advocating "Buy Nothing Day" with a guy (cute I might ad) sitting at a table with sissors, ready to clear up your debt in less than a minute.
Afterwards we went back to his aunts and went out to dinner. Nice Italian restaurant in the middle of downtown Boulder Creek (his aunt actually lives in Boulder Creek which is about 10 miles from Santa Cruz). Nice dinner however the prices were kind of high. I have no problem with prices as long as you get your moneys worth in food, mood, and all the other fringe benefits. The service was good.
So packing up and on our way back to San Francisco. Exhausted from the evening, we relaxed for a bit and then off to bed.
