Grandpas Memorial Service and Family
Well I woke up at 7:40 and my ride was supposed to be here at 7:50. Needless to say, no shower for me, quickly throw myself together from my drunken stuber last night, and head out within 10 minutes. They were late.
I rode with my Aunt Roanne and Uncle Doug to the Lattimore Rd Medical Center. I tried waking up but it was hard. My system just isnt used to the time change yet and quite frankly I was still hung over (possibly drunk). It was a nice visit but when we got to Palmyra, I ended up riding with my cousin Tony and Yvette down to Groten. It was great seeing Tony as he and I both grew up together, were 3 months apart, and both named Anthony. We used to party together and every time we see each other, it never seems to be enough time spent. Today was different.
We made it down there right on time. I got to see many relatives that I havent seen in ages and although there is a lot of sorrow in my grandfathers passing, it was really good to see everyone again. I got to see my uncles who I rarely get to see (and admire), as well as most of my cousins, my mom, my sister, my dad, and many second cousins. Last but far from least, I got to see my grandmother.
It was nice talking with everyone but trying to catch up all the time lost in between, almost seems wasted because there is never enough time to get to know each other again. I took a few pictures and video of everyone, so Ill have that to remember.
I rode back with Tony and Yvette and got to stop by their house. It was nice to see they are doing well and I really wish them both the best. It was nice to spend time getting to know him a little more since we were so close at one time. The house is fantastic.
They dropped me back in Rochester around 6pm. We stopped at Wegmans briefly (which I miss terribly since theres nothing to compare it to out in SF). We bought food, and I came back here and ate. I know, very boring lol.
Now Im off to get some coffee and head to piano bar for a few cocktails. Should be lots of fun. More on that later.
